Matthew 8

Matthew 8 is filled with miracles like none prior.  To get a better perspective on this, here is John Darby’s commentary for today’s study: “Then, in chapter 8, the Lord begins in the midst of Israel His patient life of testimony, which closed with His rejection by the people whom God had so long preserved … Continue reading »

  • We will be finishing the book of Genesis this week.  I don't know about you, but I want to read about Jesus some more.  So, I thought I would give you the choice of which one of the synoptic gospels you would like to read next.  The choices are between Matthew, Mark, and Luke.  We will begin one of these gospels on Monday!
  • Just wanted to let you all know that I am still so proud of you for continuing in our study.  A lot of people BEGIN to study the Bible, but few continue after a time.  But...diligence pays off and it is great to have a full understanding of God's Word.  Well done!
  • On Sundays, we will be working our way through the book of Colossians.  This won't alter our other daily studies, but it does mean that there will be multiple studies going on simultaneously on the site.  We thought it worth an explanation.  Happy studies!
  • We have decided to do an Old Testament book for our second study.  The book of Exodus highlights God's plan to set His people free from slavery in Egypt.  It is a good study and an introduction to the God of the Israelites.  Enjoy!
  • Our stats indicate that we are getting an amazing response to this Bible study.  I encourage you to press on.  I have never met someone that regretted reading the Bible.  Thanks for studying with us!
  • Just to clarify...the best way for us to do this study together is by commenting and responding to comments.  Don't be afraid.  No one will bite. The first time you comment, you will have to be approved by the moderator.  After that, it will post as soon as you comment.

Study with us!

We are making a commitment at Four Hills Church to become people who read the Bible. One of the easiest ways to do that is TOGETHER! On this site, you will see our daily chapter post, along with discussion of the items in that chapter. Feel free to contribute your thoughts to the discussion. If you have any questions that you would like to ask in a less public forum, just email our pastor at matt@fourhillschurch.com. Enjoy!
