Genesis 16

The Lord promised Abram many descendants, but after living in Canaan for 10 years, he still had no children.

So, Sarai, his wife, offered her slave, Hagar, for Abram to impregnate. He does so, and things get weird. Suddenly, Hagar despised Sarai (jealousy) and Sarai mistreated Hagar (drama).

Hagar fled their home and wandered the desert, where the Lord came to her. He told her to go back home. He would bless her and her child, in spite of how she had been mistreated by her masters.

So, she returned to the house of Abram and bore him a son named Ishmael.

Chapter 17 tomorrow.

    • Nope. We are Gentiles (term for anyone not Jewish). Specifically, most of us are of European or African descent. The song “Father Abraham” is a complete fabrication.
